Set up storage locations
A storage location is a place stock sits: a showcase, shelf, tray, box, vault, counter, rack or drawer. Receipts, moves and tags all use these names.

Where to find it
Inventory → Inventory & Capabilities → Storage Location
1Open storage locations
Go to Inventory → Inventory & Capabilities and open the Storage Location tab.
2Pick a category
Press Manage on the category the location belongs to, then Add Location.
3Name it and save
Enter the Location Name, for example Showcase A or Rack 2. Choose the Location Type: Showcase, Shelf, Tray, Box, Vault, Counter, Rack, Drawer or Custom. Leave Status as Active. Press Save Location.
